  6. I’m from Galveston Texas we all use cut bait but free swim not fingers but juvenile mullet catch reds fast bull reds swim whole mullet at sunset

  7. The single most important tip for catching redfish on cut bait is cast the bait out near a red fish. If you do, there’s a high likelihood, you will catch a red, if you don’t then highly unlikely that you will. When I began fishing Apalachee Bay in the mid-1950s, cut mullet was the only bait we used for a few years. Always been good.

  8. I was doing similar this weekend at fort fisher but I was using 2 ounce weight. Caught 14 reds. 1 huge one got off right at the shore. One broke my braid. Maybe oyster shells. Caught a nice 20" black drum and 2 huge rays too. Was using cut croaker and pinfish.

  9. My brother and I were throwing zmans, all kinds of colors paddle tales and all kinds of other artificial bait at these reds one morning they were EVERYWHERE and didn’t get spooked easily. After 2hrs I throw cut ladyfish and got hooked up FAST!

  11. 4:31 How did you know they were there, as in how did you see them? They seem way too far away to see a school of them in the water even with polarized glasses

  12. I need some help catching this darn red fish. I’m in Melbourne Florida and fished these waters 6 years and never got a red😞 I do not have a kyak i fish off land..any advice??
