Love your videos brother. I’m over in Destin, FL! Was wondering if you have seen the new Brooklyn Kayak Co 12.5 Pro it looks very similar but is slightly cheaper and has a pre fabbed trolling motor setup to drop in where pedal dive goes.

I kind of like the kayak. When you said I could upgrade the rudder I know I like the kayak. I fish the Oregon in California coast. It takes a good turning kayak to do it safely. There’s a lot of kayaks out there and some expensive ones but that means nothing when you’re on the ocean.

I’ll stick with my lifetime kayak I bought for 249. There’s no justifying the price- that plastic hunk doesn’t cost over 1000 to make.
Ouch $1600 USD.. I have seen same models in south east asia markets for half that price. The USA is getting price gouged as usual.

Everything is impressive with the exception of the weight, I’ve got an older 13’ Hobie which weighs 60 pounds. I don’t know at 66 years old if a could handle 110#. By myself.

This is a terrible review. If your going to do a review on a fishing kayak, at least stand up on it and fish so we can see stability. Heck, you don’t even need to fish. Just stand up and move around on it.

That big and no rod locker no swivel seat so you can turn sideways or face the back not pre wired for a trolling motor or fish finder and it’s still $1,700 at the time of the video kind of disrupting

I think for the price it has alot of features, the drive system reliability???? Also probably made offshore, So not American made.
How about quality?? Someone from another page said the older mirage drive was being put in the cheaper kayaks then some claim the prop drive systems are more reliable and trouble free, of course u can go from forward to reverse almost instantly with it.

nice provisions for gadgets, which can be used to mount poles. to justify for the price, 4 pieces minimum, 2 wider front and 2 narrower rear and mount a full-house with kitchen on it. which will be suitable for today’s florida and california and australia.
$1699…… My personal opinion is that it is still way over priced….. but what do I know?
This is another in a long line of Chinese Ali Express kayaks that are rebranded and being sold. Great price point, but there is a reason for that low price. BKC and other brands have been selling these kayaks and branding them. The big question is how much real support do they give to customers. The hull is far too deep and the hull speed is very slow regardless of effort pedaling. Rudder is totally undersized for most fishermen, and the upgrade was not listed on the website despite being discussed in the video. Overall, please know what you are getting into and I hope that Hammerhead provides real support to customers unlike some of the other Chinese kayak resellers. ( I do not say Chinese in a derogatory manor, but just to be clear as to where these kayaks are designed, manufactured and sold)

Actually, the website says 121 lbs. Hammerhead says it’s weight capacity is 601 lbs but the actual capacity from the actual manufacturer says 771 lbs.
