I did try same as first method(hook on mouth) as shown on this video, but the bait is ripped off from hook when i make a cast. I’m fishing at seashore. Am i cast too hard or my bait is too small? Not really sure.

Should never go thru the bottom lip . Mullet wont live long . Also should never go thru the bottom of the mullet .always along the top 3/4 of the way along . Many mistakes here
