  1. SMH shaky heads and worms are hands down the best! Definitely a big ol monster man, my PB is a 8lb on a junebug t-rig ol monster! I’ve caught so many fish on a SMH worm and the jig head in ponds and PFAs I can’t count.

  2. The SMH worm and jig head are deadly and the worms catch like 25 fish before you have to change them. Love Z-Man

  3. Great video, the lake I fish here in Missouri, barely a lake fishing form the Jetty cause i’m tryin to avoid ticks, a Junebug berkley powerworm has been killing it. Keep killin that weightloss journey, I too am on that journey, almost didn’t recognize you!

  4. Hey Mr. Gene. I have a family trip planned to Rocky Mountian PFA the 8-10 of August. Are you able to share any of the details about Heath lake? I am looking for information about what type of bait fish they have (colors) any insight into typicaly water clarity and structure (logs / reeds / pads / grasses). I will be hitting up the brush piles documented for whatever I can get to bite. Any recommended areas on any of these lakes that migh have some crappie / bream for the kids to go "catching" would also be greatly appreciated. I have forward faceing sonar and all of the typical electronics. No worries if you are not able to get to this message before my trip. I am pouring over your videos to get ideas of August baits and locations. You have taught me so much over the years with these videos. Keep them coming please!

  5. I fish a lot on a river, and I find that in shallow water, as strange as it sounds, carolina rig performs better than texas rig. It also allows to slither over the hidden logs and rock, texas sometimes gets bumped and snag 🙂 Thanks for the information, as always!

  6. Thank you for promoting straight shank hooks! I prefer them as well but thought I was crazy because NOBODY else uses them.

  7. This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks.
I was sent over from TRF, Tyler said you were a great channel to check out, and he wasn’t wrong.

  8. Great video to the point and explanation of your set up down to the weight and line even how you set it. Thanks.

  9. Great information and helpful to break down different types of water. I’m going to tie on many of these and go out near Leach Lake today. Top water has been amazing here.

  10. It’s funny to see this video knowing u were out filming the same day I was at the Rocky Mountain pfa and saw ur truck and u floating around the middle!

  11. I had my best days fishing with the smh shaky head and a june bug curly tail I caught so many in a couple hours my back hurt from hooking and reeling and had to pack it up
B lat is the one who got me to try these

  12. Yeah unless you’re fishing really bulky creature baits you really don’t need an EWG! I like worm hooks or straight shank also if I’m not using neko for trick worms

  13. Great video and info! I enjoyed getting to meet you last Saturday at Lanier for the Westbrook Demo day! I just ordered an NRS Kuda 126 to fish while we are on the road with our travel trailer. Looking forward to getting it rigged for our July trip to Richard B Russell and will definitely try these baits and techniques. Keep up the great work you put into all your videos!

  14. I’m having a ton of success with pumpkinseed chartreuse tail Yum dingers on a shaky head. Even on the really hard days I can catch fish with the shaky head I also use them with zoom trick worms. My favorite year time bait is the jig I’ve caught my biggest bass on them and I get a ton of enjoyment out of fishing them. I get most of the bites on the fall or a slow drag with a twitch.
