  1. Lol….he said affordable. 1500 is not affordable. Yes cheaper than most. But if I’m gonna spend that much on a kayak I’ll buy a jon boat and be more stable.

  2. Looks like there was a spot near the back with inserts and cutouts for a boondox style landing gear setup.

  3. Good deal!….I would like to see you do a head to head comparison to the Old Town 106 PDL….and maybe a Hobie?

  4. At 9:12 of the video it looks like there’s water coming up through those holes. Not that it matters because it’s self draining. However, I would sure like to have one of those.

  5. How dare you make this video? Look what you’ve done… Their website says they’ve sold out… 🙂

Thanks for the review, you’ve sold me. Can’t wait to see if I can get my hands on this one!

  6. Is anyone looking to sell their old one? I just want a pedal propelled yak. Any brand will do as long as it’s still in perfect working condition 🤙🏻

  7. the title is deceiving and click biting.
There are many pedal kayaks in $1500 range.
Most affordable is feelfree FLASH PEDAL KAYAK $1,099.00 list price

  8. The demonstration was great, but where can I get one of these? I have checked Hammerheads site and looked on Amazon and eBay and I cannot find one for sale.

  9. Love the video. Im overcoming medical limitations and have decided to start kayaking and canoeing for therapy since i can handle more cardio now. I virtually school my 8th grade son and we’re ready to fish this fall. I have knee issues but i like the pedal system if im sitting closer to the pedals. But, can a troll motor be added? The lake we go to here in Alabama have troll motors on the rental canoes. Thanks again.

  10. Hoodoo has a 12 foot comes with all the same stuff for same price they have a 13.6 foot with fins for 1,399 The 10 foot pedal is 1.199

  11. Why do these Kayaks have the holes right below the pedals? I notice water coming up but you not freaking out so I gather that’s normal lol. Good demonstration and review especially for someone new to the sport.

  12. Question from a guy who’s never been around a pedal drive yak. If I wanted to purchase a paddle and some paddle holders to mount would I be able to fish shallow water without having the pedal assembly on the kayak? I assume it wouldn’t take on any extra water but really don’t know.

  13. Good review, and I’ll have to tell a Friend about it (right now, I have to tow him around with my Titan X / NK300 motor, when we go fishing! He can get his OWN pedal drive, now!). Lol

  14. As a fairly active big boy, i really appreciate your frank assessment on stability, I’ll be looking at one of these for sure!

  15. Been shopping for a WHILE for a kayak. Because the seat goes up I have now found the kayak I want to buy. Thanks brother. Enjoy

  16. trying to decide if i want the pedal kayak or give up on life and go with the electric motor, but your reviews are excellent! thanks man

  17. Thanks for the video it inspired me to get the baby whale just got it today so went out on the closest lake to my house and I love it.

  18. Thank you for your videos. I am new to kayaking. I am from Miami. My question is if I can navigate my kayak everywhere or only in permitted places.

  19. You’re too far back from the pedals. Your knees are just about locking out in full extension. Shouldn’t be having to extend your toes like that, either. NG. 😉

  20. Awesome! I work for a foundation that is seeking to purchase 1,200 kayaks to use for humanitarian purposes. Our foundation has received funding from a number of very gracious donors and we are ready to place our order now. We are hoping that these kayaks will save countless lives by helping migrants avoid the danger of attempting to enter the United States by land. The desert crossings are perilous and have cost too many lives. We plan to shuttle USA bound migrant visitors to three water routes and lead them to our shores in safety and comfort.

You have saved lives by posting this review. May I send you my sincerest regards and please feel free to follow the progress of our organization.

  21. Hey buddy, very informative video: Thank you. If I may offer one small piece of advice, I have been a long time cyclist and since a pedal kayak is essentially cycling you will do your knees, lower back and hips a HUGE favor by moving your seat up an inch or two. You never want to have your legs fully locked out straight on the down stroke when pedaling. Do a Youtube search for setting up a bicycle, fitting a bicycle to the rider etc. Thank you again for your expertise on pedal kayaks.

  22. GREAT VIDEO! Lots of information so much appreciated! You didn’t mention the draft with the pedal drive. How shallow can we go? I noticed that its not a dry deck so is the area behind the seat dry? Price blew me away!

  23. Good recording and clear useful info, i wish i could mount those or any similar wheels onto my kayak

  24. Great video! You touched on all the points of interest. I myself am a larger man very close to your specs and I never see anybody our size trying to stand up! Super job on this one!! Quick question, being fairly new to the pedal kayak interest, I am curious to understand the difference in the paddle design versus the prop design as far as useable depth goes? You made mention that you prefer a pedal style because you stay in shallower water. Do the paddle style pedal kayaks give that big of an advantage in shallower water? Thanks in advance for any input! Again, great video!

  25. I love my Brooklyn kayak 2024 PK11. Pedal drive, well equipped, 35" wide, 10.5′, 425 weight capacity. $1375. Check it out. I bought the green camo. I get a lot of compliments.

  26. Would you take this kayak offshore? I’m looking at getting a pedal drive kayak to use offshore in the Gulf but I am not sure whether 10′ would be stable enough or if I should go with a 12′?
