Weightless chartreuse tip worm works best for me. These spooks do nothing for me. If I fish on top water, I will throw the 6th sense 80 WK 0-1 bait. Works great
My go-to that worked in many different places & situations was a 1/8oz Texas rigged black & bronze 4-6” soft plastic lizard/salamander. Or weightless on a ultralight/very light spinning rig.

Donkey rig w flukes caught me 5 largemouth from shore today
My son and I were getting skunked for a year. I took your advice on one lure bought it yesterday cast out tonight two largemouth one had to be 16 inches long.
So if they’re missing the bait, tie on a clear one……got it 😅
What’s up
Fluke, weightless. 18” leader with a barrel swivel to give it not only a pivot point when you twitch your fluke, but it adds a little weight to to make the fluke fall head down quicker, also when you twitch it w a barrel swivel leader, it prevents it from blowing out. I prefer a 5” caffeine shad- 4” if I’m on a smaller fishery. A fluke , frog (most top waters) , and shakey head worm or free rig soft plastic (sometimes a hybrid swim jig or miniMAX) those are all you need. You can fish mats without weights if you have the right baits for the job for instance a Bottom Up scupper frog. Throw that on a Mat weightless..let it sit..then frantically swim it away from the mat- they’ll come up and blast it.
Big worm energy
Awesome video tyler. Any chance you could throw up a Pic of the areas (pocket, ledge, etc) you talking about.
One thing I’ve found success in using on grass that’s around 3-4 feet under the surface is a weightless worm. Even though it’s weightless, the worm falls super slowly. Just my 2 cents on getting a bite and also keeping the bait nice and clean/grass free
Bro no offense but you blink so much it freaks me out
Great information thank you
Thanks for the vid! What’s your opinion on Whopper Ploppers during June?
Every time I throw a 10 inch culprit on I catch bass it just works super slow retrieve weightless red shad tequila sunrise regular brown or magic plum color all works good
Love Xzone lures!
Tyler what’s your opinion on BFS fishing? Is it worth me investing money in?
in the pond i am fishing, you could catch them on a baby shoe with a treble hook. Don’t overthink it.
anyone know which wake bait that was @ 2:49
love the videos keep em up!
Say month of June again, I dare you! Lol
Would also like to see you do a video about lakes that have no grass and that are mostly rock and trees. One of your in-depth long videos would be so helpful.
So always look with your eyes 😮 got it
I’m still hanging on to the spinnerbait bite in the mornings but the top water bite is starting to come into play. Other than the deep crank and big worm, I rely on a flick shake rather than a drop shot because I can cover more water if I have to.
Drop shot, 1/16 oz weight, 12 lb flouro, 2.5” paddle tail and a circle hook. Rig it through the nose like a live minnow. Slow drag back with rod tip up.
Will be fishing upper Mountain fork river this wkend!
Just say white, not bone lolwtf
Drink every time he says June.
How often to you fish the Harris chain in Florida mainly lake Harris?
Does this also apply to smallmouth bass in Canada (south Canada)?
If I’m fishing a largeish pond, will the bass still go deeper? I haven’t caught a fish over 2 pounds in a while, except for a 4 and a quarter on a chatterbait, I was fishing it a little deeper than I normally do. But 10 foot is the max depth plus submerged vegetation. What should I throw? The forage is bluegill, black crappie, and big shinner.
Tyler, love your takes for lures and soft plastics, but it doesn’t work for me because you’re in Ohio and I’m in Utah. The lakes and reservoirs in my state has rip raps and rocky bottoms. Deep dive crankbaits, wacky worm rigs are essential for my success and topwater never works in June and the rest of the summer months.
Not everyone has a boat
Awesome job Tyler !! The only link missing is the one about the evergreen JT walking bait?????
I dont care about the app your promoting lol smh
Swim jig all the way! If they’re on the bottom and finicky, the Ned rig.
Guy from dude perfect doppelgänger
subscribed in hopes you do this every month
Summer Time What up Big Perm!!! I mean Big Worm!.. ok noted 😁🐟🎣
What model trolling motor are you running? And do you have the built-in, or bolted-on transducer(s)?
Big Joshy and jig
"What’s up big Worm"
It’s may 31
How do you prevent non stop snags when ripping across the bottom?
